One Photo, One Sentence

Although this forum doesn't support photos, it's still feels like a lot of fun to be able to share. Travel, after all, might be better communicated through images then text.

So this thread is an attempt to see if we can get some photo sharing going!

Simple guidelines: One image, one sentence (or no sentence works as well)

These are not one per customer! Post at your pleasure 🙂

If you want a free place to store photos anonymously with the ability to easily make a little link to a given photo, the Imgur app is very easy. When you upload a single photo to Imgur, just be sure that "hidden" is toggled, and then once the photo is posted, you can tap the three dots in the upper right corner for a permalink to that photo. Only people who click through the link can see it.

Or however else you can pull it off🙂

Next post will demonstrate.

Hope to see some fun images!

Hank, I’m not sure how much of a response you will get. I think it’s a nice idea, but having to get yet another app is not happening for me.

Fair enough! It is a bit of a pain in the butt to have to host your photos somewhere. But maybe people already do that? Can't hurt to ask ....

Oh, wow, Marie! What a fantastic ancient city. Interesting that the fountain still flows. It must be gravity fed from a spring or something.

oh I LOVE those last two! We've got some real photographers in our ranks

Mignon is that staircase in a Jugendstil building? You really captured the essence of the style.

And the black and white Eiffel tower is classic Parisian early 20th century photography style. It's easy to take an okay tourist snap of the Eiffel tower, but an achievement to make art out of something already photographed tens of millions of times.

very nice!

@Hank

Thanks a lot.
No this is a staircase in a rather new Hotel in Munich. I took the photo from the basement up.

Great photo, and I agree. It's a charming "decorating" idea.

The reflection in your photo is great. I like that it's raining and the umbrellas are actually doing something in your picture 😁. I like the reflection of the people in the photo too. And the receding perspective. It could be a poster no problem

Thank you. It was the reflections that I liked most about it.

Okay breaking down the "pictures of food" wall - I like food probably even more than I like pictures!

Mountain hut lunch above Tannheim Austria after a cold, rainy, tired and hungry hike up the mountain.
