one month trip planning

We are planning on an extensive trip next year. Sept. 2017. I know way early but I have health issues and must make sure I plan accordingly. We will be in Ireland 9 days no give on that at all. We want to include short time in Scotland, Wales, England. then a train to Paris, then Luxembourg, Belgium, Amsterdam, then Iceland for our stopover. Is this possible or we are trying to do too much? We may rent a car in Scotland to London, not sure yet on that. If we can do just trains we would prefer. Only my other half drives and I dont want the whole trip being in a car. Any info at all will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Go from Scotland to London by train. It is much faster than car and more comfortable. Car or bus tour is needed to see Scotland countryside. If you have 1 month and use 9 days for Ireland you are left with 21 days for other 8 destinations. That leaves you with less than 3 days for each one including travel. Trim three destinations and you are left with four days for each destination including travel. That seems more reasonable.

I think whether or not the number of destinations is too much will depend on the places and how long you want to spend there. Luxembourg would probably be a one day/one night stay. Where in Belgium? If you just want to see Bruges and Ghent, for example, then 3 days is enough for both. How long do you plane to stay in Iceland? You need to lay out your itinerary detailing the cities you want to stay in and how long and then see if you have enough time. Then you'll know if you have to cut some locations.

Luxembourg and Brussels both will be one day stopovers, no need for longer on either from my research, Iceland can just be not part of the one month, again it is a stopover on way home. So we have 30 days for Scotland, allbiet very limited we are aware, England, I have done London and he is only interested in 48 hours or less there. So we are left with Paris, just Paris itself, and Amsterdam for any trips more then a couple days.

Nine days for Ireland is included in the 1 month time frame ?

At a minimum I would say ...
London - 4 nights
Paris - 5 nights
Ghent (for Bruges & Antwerp) - 3 nights
Amsterdam - 3 nights

Hopefully that leaves 15 days, not 6, for Scotland, England and Iceland.

Ireland is not included in the one month. and we have decided that Iceland will not be added into our 30 days. after extensive research we are set on time frame and it is doable without wearng ourselves thin. We dont party much at all even though we own a bar in our hometime. So we can get to bed early enough to take early am trains and buses. We are deffinitely renting a car in scotland and the english countryside. cars after that will not be needed because trains are so frequent. Now to decide on what to wear for so many different temps. lol.
