OBB Upgrade to Business- Help please!

Hi All,
I'm looking for some help to make sure I'm understanding the OBB site please. I already have seat reservations for 2nd class, but would like to upgrade to better seats.
I believe I have until 15 days before to cancel the original seats, so my plan is to book the new ones and then cancel the other one.

When select the upgrade to business option on OBB for 30 euro (2 ppl), it also selects the first class option above.

When I look at seats for business, the business part of the carriage is white and then first is in green. There's only two available seats in business and 8 in first. Am I correct in thinking only the two available are bookable by me in business and not the 8 others in first? They are in the same carriage so I want to be sure.

I would prefer the two individual seats with the table option, but that is showing as only available in first, the green section.

Thanks for your patience if this is obvious,

PQ

You need a first class ticket for the business class seats. You cannot occupy these with a 2nd class ticket. You will need to cancel your ticket and get a 1st class ticket first.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I do understand how train reservations work, I'm just unfamiliar with OBB. When I saw the option to upgrade to Business, I thought Business class was below First class and so it would be an upgrade from 2nd class (which I have) to Business.
I realize now that I was mistaken and that the upgrade is actually from First (which I do not have) to Business.

Oh well, at least I have my original 2nd class seats. Live and learn!

Business class is usually above 1st on trains. OBB and Trenitalia have it. SNCF has "Business 1iere" which is also a tier above 1st.
