We would like to spend 7-8 days in one European city in November. Considering Florence, but afraid there might be too much rain. Any other suggestions for a semi dry vacation?

Andalusia? Valencia?
There are so many great museums and other indoor places to see in Florence that it is probably one of the better places to be during adverse weather.
We were in Florence in November 2 years ago - there was a brief, light sprinkle one afternoon, but otherwise no rain, but lots of other tourists crowding the piazzas and museums...probably not as many as if we were there in summer though!
We were in Madrid a couple of years before that, but in October. Again, dry when we were there. Not sure if one month would be that different.
Your results may vary from day to day or week to week.
I would go to London. There is plenty to keep you busy there for the week. If the weather is bad there are plenty of museums to see. Closer to the end of the month, London is decorating for Christmas.
