Greetings,
I was hoping someone could please suggest a place for a honeymoon in early November? I was hoping for Croatia, but I understand that it will be too cold. I'm hoping for moderately warm weather, but don't know where to start. Any suggestions are welcomed, thanks!
Italy in early November was warm--quite warm, sweaty hot warm sometimes--for us on our honeymoon.
Most of Europe will be cool, if not cold in November. However, your warmer, best choices for a honeymoon will likely be southern Italy or Greece.
Congratulations!
For November I suggest Sicily or Sorrento. You can day-trip or not from either. My favorite place in Sicily is Cefalu. Small, walkable, great beach.
You can find weather averages online for any destination. You can't count on warm weather anywhere in Europe in November--you could get lucky, but you might not--so I'd pick a city destination, rather than one where there's not much to go in bad weather. Rome, for instance--if it's nice, great, if it's cool and rainy, there's enough indoor stuff to keep you busy.
Personally I think warm weather is overrated (lol)! Why not consider the UK? Cuddling next to a warm fireplace can be an awesome romantic experience. Think about it.
How about Andalucia in Southern Spain and maybe a day trip or so over to Morocco in Northern Africa? Compare the weather in that area to Southern California in November. Andalucia is packed with culture, history, romance, sights, fun... My favorite cities/town there: Cadiz, Jerez de la Frontera, Ronda and Malaga - to name just a few.
