Norwegian -- Oak/SF to Rome Nonstop Mar/Apr?

I need to fly to Rome this coming March/April 2019 from the SF Bay Area. Having just taken Norwegian's nonstop flight to London from Oakland (4 mi. from me!) last month, I'm keen on repeating this with their nonstop (but perhaps sporadic) Dreamliner service to Rome.

Regrettably, Norwegian is not currently posting flights for this route beyond October so I'm unable to book it at present. I asked Norwegian whether or not they'll continue the flights then and if so, when they might actually release them for booking. However, their reps (situated in the Ukraine who seemed to be there only to sell currently-offer flights as opposed to explaining policy or planning) merely stated they don't have info beyond October. Since there are other airlines/flights that aren't overly expensive I don't think it wise for me too long for concrete information on Norwegian, so I thought I'd ask a couple of questions here:

  1. Has anybody taken this Norwegian Oak/SF to Rome flight this past March or April (to corroborate the route is in place during these months)?

  2. If you haven't would you have any definite or helpful information one way or another whether or not they will have this service during those months and when Norwegian might release them for sale?

Norwegian is one airline that ordered its 787 with the Rolls Royce engine which has some "issues"

RR is struggling to produce the parts for a temp fix and developing/certifying the long term solution.

Suspect Norwegian is having scheduling issues around its 787s, being uncertain when and how many will have functioning engines

This may be a factor in Norwegian not having a longer term schedule published.

Well that's certainly a possible explanation I wasn't anticipating...

Yep. Lots of aircraft swaps currently going on with Norwegian and other airlines that have 787s running the RR engines. Gonna be that way for a while.

But of course they're still showing flights on other routes at the beginning of 2019 so I can't believe that engines is the proximate cause of not showing the Rome flights....

Norwegian has also been trimming schedules and dropping some routes entirely, unrelated to the 787 engine issues. Apparently they are struggling financially. I was looking for flights on a different Oakland route and found none in 2019.
