I went to Washington DC in July and there were lots of Europeans visiting. It was very exciting to hear the different accents at one place. There were also people from South America and Asia not to mention all the different US accents blending in.

Europeans visiting East Coast cities en-mass isn't a new phenomena, especially considering the exchange rates. For residents of the UK it's almost a free trip;)
