My husband has been doing "News in Slow Italian" as part of his language study and really enjoys it. In addition to the language practice, he gets a different perspective on the news.
The speakers read the news slowly, while a transcript appears on screen, so it covers both listening and reading ability.
I thought I would see what else is offered, and there are indeed other languages. I plan to sign up for a month of Spanish to refresh my knowledge of that language for a trip to Patagonia. Then I will try six months of German to improve my skills there.
It does cost, but appears to be worth it.
