Just wondering if anyone has experienced any of the new TSA regulations that were suppose to go in effect on June 30th. I'm talking about the rules about powder such as baby powder, powdered spices, even baby formula according to the article I read. So now there is a limit as to the amount you can carry and it must be in the same 3-1-1 bag. I traveled to Canada on June 27th and returned to the US on July 3, nothing was said and I had a little container of baby powder.

I left the US on 7/3 and returned on 7/18 thru London. I was selected for an extra securitycheck at the gate in London and was asked there if I had any powder in my bag. No specific check was made. Otherwise, I didn't note any difference in security.

It applies to amounts over 12 oz, and that would be a lot of powdered spices. It would not fit into a quart size bag so I wouldn't worry about fitting that cinnamon into the 3-1-1 bag. And a small travel size of baby powder would be way less than 12 oz.
