I'm looking for some new or old travel "gear" that you find helpful to get as a birthday present for my husband. Some past gifts have been: travel plug strip w/ USB ports & case for travel cords, Bose Noise cancellation head phones, 120/220 travel hot pot w/ Via packs, Eagle Creek carry on w/ zip off backpack., Leupold travel binoculars
Any ideas?

I've been looking for a case for travel cords. Can you provide a pointer to what you have specifically?
Eagle Creek Etool Organizer Pro. Everything fits except our travel power strip. We mark where everything goes so when we pack up we know for sure we haven't left anything behind. I spend a way to much time in Beune once trying to replace a phone charger left in Paris.
Self-charging purses/backpacks seem to be gaining traction. They're expensive but handy.
How about an external charging pack for phones/tablets? They come in various sizes. If he already has a small and lighter one that will just give a partial charge (to avoid a call being cut off), then get a larger one that can completely recharge a phone twice. Or, of course, vice versa.
For the one that will charge a phone twice, someone else on the Forum recommended this one, which I got as a gift for my mother and is working well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CU1EC6Y

FYI--Rick Steves has two new Gadget Pouches that might help those looking for more organization. I don't have them so I can't give them a review
