Netherlands, Italy (Venice, Dolomites, Modena, Cinque Terre)

Hi All,

Planning a trip to the above August 19-24(fixed dates) - September 4 (somewhat flexible) and could use advice about whether this is doable and the most efficient route. Will start from Amsterdam

Leaving Amsterdam -Haarlem on Monday, August 24

8/24 : Haarlem to Venice (fly)

8/27: Venice to Kastelrutj (train) - for Dolomites hiking

8/30: Kastelrutj to Modena - Bus from Kastelrutj to Bolzano, then train to Modena. This is specifically on itinerary for the Ferrari and Pagaini museums. Pagaini first then Ferrari.

9/1: Modena to Cinque Terre - Modena train to Cinque Terre (via Parma to La Spezia). Stay in Monterroso or Manarola.

9/4: Cinque Terre by train to Genoa. Fly to Amsterdam airport - fly out in evening to U.S.

Leaving from Amsterdam because that aiport has a lot of flights to the west coast, using Alaska/Hawaiian miles.

Is this doable and not hectic? Is it cramming too much? More time, less time in areas? Thanks for any thoughts in advance.

To me, it would depend on the travel time between, as the plan itself calls for two fulls days in nature in two spots, and a bit of busyness in the middle. That part seems okay, but if the transport is more than it appears. I’d have qualms.

Can you fly into Venice? It's lovely from the air. Maybe check availability into/out of Milan airports? Good luck!
