FYI---Netflix has just added all of Rick's DVD's to their inventory.
Very cool. Also note that Blockbuster Online has had them for quite a while now. RS videos were the only reason that I joined Blockbuster Online last year, and I quit shortly after our last trip was completed.
No, it's not a free site.
An it looks like Blockbuster may go bye-bye soon. They're toying with bankruptcy.
Netflix costs $18.00 a month for three DVDs at a time, you can return them as frequently as you like. So even if you're feeling poor, it's actually a really great deal---all the movies you want for less than the cost of two going to see a movie at the theatre. And they have almost everything, including old PBS series.
I added 3 Rick Steves DVDs to my Netflix queue back on the 14th and I moved them up to the top of my queue. Now, however all 3 dvds show as 'saved' with availability as 'unknown'. They are no longer in my queue.
Normally, when something is in the saved part it is something that Netflix knows exists (like a movie that has just been released to the theaters) but has not been released on DVD yet.
Does anyone know what is going on here? I was looking forward to these! I called Netflix and they gave me the vague answer I expected: that they don't have specifics but this happens from time to time.
When passed the release date, it means they are on order but not sure when they'll get them.
