Need some advice on last ½ of trip planning, please...

We will be in Europe for 35 nights in Sept/Oct 2024. We have first half of trip planned (Croatia: Dubrovnik, Hvar, Split, Plitvice, Zagreb & Slovenia: Ljubljana & Italy: Venice).

From Venice, we aren't sure where we want to go so are looking for suggestions. If we can catch some football matches, we'd love to do that, as well.

We have already visited southern Germany, parts of Poland, Czech Republic, Ireland, Belgium, Austria, Florence & Rome, Italy, and a few other places.

We will return home from Frankfurt, Germany.

Switzerland is an obvious candidate here, as you haven't been there yet, and it gets you closer to Frankfurt. You could also include France.

eg. Venice - Switzerland - Eastern France - Frankfurt or Venice - Southern France - Eastern France - Frankfurt. Lots of possibilities here.

Go to Google flights and put in Venice to Europe, non-stop. Then do Frankfurt to Europe, non-stop and look for destinations that fit both criteria. Those will be your most logical options.

Or you can just ask and get a list of everyone's favorite places.

So, we have decided on the Amalfi Coast before going to Dusseldorf to finish off our vacation; leaving from Frankfurt.

Here's what we've come up with:
Naples: 3 nights
Sorrento & Capri: 2 nights
Positano: 1 night
Amalfi, Atrani, Ravello: 2 nights
Ferry or other transportation from Amalfi to Naples before heading to Dusseldorf

How's that look?
