Need online travel planner/ communication method

Hi all, I'm planning a trip to Europe with a friend in November. I'd like to use something online that we can both log into to post ideas, look at each other's flight info (planning our own transportation), keep hotel reservations, and lists of attractions and train info. I'd also like a section where I can post a question to the other person. Does anyone know of anything that would fit the bill? I was thinking of something as simple as Google Docs, but I figured that there would be something better out there.

You could look at tripit.com. You can use it on a pc and mobile device, and you can share information. I know you can put flight and hotel info in. I think you could add trian info, but not sure about attractions. I'm using it, and was able to add notes into hotel info (directions to hotel).

If you both have Windows machines, you could try OneNote. You can have separate tabs for each destination, transportation, etc. It instantly s for the other person. You can copy a section of a website into OneNote and it automatically includes the url.

I'd consider a private, two-person blog on Blogger or Wordpress. Either of you can post and then comment on posts.

Karen, TripIt sounds like it will fit the situation you want, although I'm not sure if your friend would be able to modify the information. The basic version is free (always nice) and it can be used on mobile devices. You could perhaps contact TripIt for further information. Cheers!

Karen, Dropbox is a great tool as well. A shared folder will allow you to both post files, the edit same files, etc. You can then have multiple documents in formats that work for you (i.e. posting PDF's of important travel docs, spreadsheet of daily options to do, word docs where you share info, etc). It is free as well. Have a great trip! Shelby
