Ok, I'm going to ask about this simply because I was born with feathers instead of normal hair... I need a compact curling iron or one compatible with travel (doesn't have to be cordless, I have converters) and am not having any luck finding one. Any of you ladies have or know of a good travel curling iron with a thick-ish barrel width?
Hi!
I spent three weeks on a Rick Steves tour last summer and like you wanted to take a curling iron. I went to the local AAA store and bought a folding travel iron with dual voltage. It comes with a case as well. I used the adapter that Rick sells and it worked fine. I also got a travel dual voltage hair dryer at this same store. Not all of our hotels had hair dryers.
Happy travels.

Going to the same destination more than once? Buy one at destination. That way there is no need for converters.
On my first trip to Europe, I found the converter one of my travel companions bought wouldn't work and we were unable to use our curling irons. So we didn't...and had a great time with hair that wasn't so great. Haven't taken one since!
