Hello, and welcome to the RS forum!

I hope you realize that what you are asking for here are essentially the services of a professional tour operator. You say you would like to complete your tour according to your self made plan, but you're asking for a lot more than assistance and help from the members of this forum. You're pretty much asking us to plan your trip for you.

I would invite you to read some of the existing information on this site, both on the forum and elsewhere, plus additional web sites that will provide you a lot of information, and pick up a guide book or two, covering the places you are interested in visiting. Also, get a copy of Rick Steves' Europe Through the Back Door.

If you really want the experience you describe, you need to do most of the planning on your own. There are many people on this forum who will give generously of their time and the knowledge of their experience to help you, but you shouldn't expect us to plan your trip for you.

I think it's wonderful that you are making your first trip to Europe, and if you don't expect ever to get back, you have picked three great destinations with France, Switzerland, and Italy. In 15-16 days of independent travel, that's about all you should expect to have time for. Pick at most 5 top destinations in those countries (for example, Paris, Lucerne, Florence, Rome) and see how you can put together an itinerary connecting them. Then post what you've figured out, and I know you will get lots of help and advice from the good folks who hang around here.

Good luck!

We are great at answering specific question but no one has the time to plan an hour by hour trip for you. That is what profession trip planner get paid to do. And, of course, is to take a pre-planned tour. Rick Steves has many good tours. His "My Way" tours might fit your agenda.

One other note: most of those on this board are American, or from Europe. As such, there might not be anyone who has experience or information about detailed visa formalities for visitors from India to Europe. I think it would be difficult to do a 15-16 day trip for two, all inclusive, for 5000 euros.

As was previously stated, this is forum inhabited by many experienced amateur European travelers. We can point you in the right direction, but you will need to make the decisions and travel arrangements on your own.
Nobody here can answer, authoritatively, questions about visa requirements for citizens of India. I would suggest you contact the consulate of the first country you enter in Europe (France?).

You say aged, but how is your mobility? Can you handle your luggage on your own? Packing light is the mantra here. A small rolling suitcase 55X40X23 cm, weighing no more than 12 kg for each person and a small light back pack. You should be able to place these in overhead bins on trains by yourselves. a 20 year-old would refer to me as aged, but I still hope to have many more trips ahead of me.

A quick look at http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ shows that your lowest cost airline tickets will be if you depart on a Tuesday in September. As low as $572 US flying into Paris at home from Rome on Jet Airways stands out, and other options using Qatar Airways or Emirates.

An itinerary between Paris and Rome is all connected by fast frequent train service. So now is the time to plan your wish list. As said, no more than 5 locations so you get ample time in each location with out having to pack up and leave every other day.

Next chore will be to get information about visas, if any are required. Next your entry and exit points and get the airline tickets. You can fill in the meat of the trip then. At least that is the way I do it.

In order to provide suggestions, it would help to have some further information. For example.....

  • What sights are you most interested in seeing in Europe?
  • What type of hotels do you prefer (comfort level and price).
  • I'm not sure a budget of €5000 will be enough, especially if you have to also pay for air flights. Is there any possibility of increasing your budget?
  • You may not have a full 15-16 days for touring, depending on which flights you choose. I believe the flights from Kolkata to Paris are about 14 hours so you may need time to rest after you arrive in Europe.
  • As someone else mentioned, I would also suggest using open-jaw flights, inbound to Paris and outbound from either Milan or Rome. You may want to speak with a travel agent to get some idea on the prices.

It's impossible to determine transport, cost of the tour or hotels until you have a definite list of cities you want to visit.

Regarding the Visa issue, you'll need to obtain a Schengen Short Stay Visa which will allow travel in the countries you'll be visiting (assuming you choose France, Switzerland and Italy). As I understand the rules, you only need to apply for a Visa from the first country you visit, or the one where you plan to spend the most time. For your trip, it would probably be best to apply to the French authorities. You will of course need valid Passports, so you'll need to get those first. You may find it helpful to contact the French Embassy at 21C, Raja Santosh Road, Alipore, Kolkata, West Bengal 700027, India, phone +91 33 4016 3200. They will be able to provide you with the information you need to obtain a Schengen Visa. I believe they have contracted out the processing of Visas to a firm called "VFS Global", so you'll likely be dealing with them. This website provides lots of information.....

http://www.vfs-france.co.in/france-kolkata.html

I'd suggest that you have a look at travel guidebooks for the countries you plan to visit, to determine which sights are of most interest to you. That will help the group here to make suggestions.

Good luck with your planning!

I'm sorry, Mr or Mrs deba

We'd love to help, but messages are limited to 4,000 characters, and my fingers get tired before I get there.

There is tons of great material on this website and others, and in all the guidebooks available, including by the author who hosts this website.

You say you don't want a travel agent but then instead of planning it yourself you ask others to.

Can I ask, to throw out a question, what is it that appeals to you about France, Italy and Switzerland?

First things first, you must decide on a route, with the number of nights to be spent at each stop.
The logical journey is to start in Paris, and travel into Italy via the Swiss Alps, finishing in Rome.
Let's assume you have 17 nights on the ground in Europe (18 days including arrival and departure days).
Let's also assume some 'must visit' places and the minimum nights you should allocate...
Paris - 4 nights
Venice - 2 nights
Florence - 2 nights
Rome - 3 nights
That is 11 nights gone so far, leaving 6 nights for the mid section thru Switzerland.
Perhaps this routing would complete the picture for you...
From Paris via Strasbourg to Colmar (2 nts) >> via Bern to Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen (3 nts) >> Milan (1 nt)

Dear Friends,
our sincere thanks to everybody who have wasted their precious time to contribute in this discussions with their valuable opinion.
A rough tour plan is chalked out by us which may satisfy our choices and preferences. this tour plan is purely a temporary one and you have every liberty to alter it to make it more concrete and meaningful.
have already stated that we have the capacity to spend euro5000/-(more or less) during this tour including everything and more precisely euro 4000 approximately for cost of this tour excluding to and fro airfare.
please keep in mind this cost factor while offering any advice or suggestion.
we have also decided to initiate this tour either 1st half or 2nd half of September -2017.

now the following is the tour plan chalked out by us:-

1 Rome -03 nights including the day of arrival
2. Florance-01 nights
3.Venice-02 nights
4. Lucerne-02 nights
5.Paris-03 nights
6.Brussels-01 night
7.Amsterdam -02 nights
8.London -1 night
it is a 15 days tour excluding the day of. departure.

  1. probably ,Schengen visa will not satisfy the above tour plan.what are the other requirement in respect to visa? 2.please let us know whether app eur 200 is reasonable for the cost of our boarding and lodging per day. 3.please throw detailed light on mode of transport from one place to another and must visit places ( other than the guide book ,your valuable advice is also very important to us)
  2. any other necessary suggestions like euro rail pass to curtail cost etc. Appealing to all my friends to come forward with their valuable inputs. It is our 1st and final tour to Europe .

thanks

Look at RS My Way tour: Europe in 14 Days. It is un-guided but your transportation and lodging are included in the price.
Itinerary. Go to the tour page and look at days 7 to 14.

Day 1: Welcome to Europe

Welcome to Paris, one of the world's most thrilling cities! Today is a great day to start tackling some of Paris' amazing museums: the Louvre, the Cluny, the Rodin, the Orsay and the Pompidou (plan accordingly; many museums are closed one day a week). We'll rendezvous at our hotel at 5 p.m. to meet your tour manager and have a group get-together. Your tour manager will give an overview of the days ahead, answer your questions, and offer a quick orientation to our neighborhood and Paris' easy-to-use public transportation. Then you're free for dinner on your own. This evening you could stroll around the brilliantly lit Eiffel Tower(r) and enjoy a twilight ride to the top. Or, enjoy the view from below, aboard one of Paris' numerous floodlit Seine River cruises. Sleep in Paris (2 nights).

Day 2: All Day in Paris

Today Paris is all yours. With the Best of Europe guidebook and Rick Steves audio tours in hand, you might begin your day where Paris did — on the Ile de la Cité* — visiting Notre-Dame Cathedral* and exquisite Sainte-Chapelle. Or explore the sprawling grounds of the ultimate royal palace at Versailles — every King's dream. This evening, head up to Montmartre to savor the bohemian flair of Amélie's "village Paris" and take in the breathtaking vistas from the Sacré-Coeur Basilica. Or go to the Arc du Triomphe and stroll down the grandest boulevard in the world — the Champs-Elysées. As with every day of this trip: it's your choice! No bus today.

Day 3: Burgundy's Wine Capital

This morning we'll pack up, bid adieu to Paris, and hop aboard our comfortable bus (your tour manager will always post departure times well in advance). Then we'll roll into the French countryside, passing pastures and vineyards en route to the "profoundly French" town of Beaune in the heart of Burgundy's wine country. After checking in to our hotel early this afternoon, you'll have time to stroll around the town's center, rent a bike for a ride along the Côte d'Or vineyards, enjoy a wine tasting, and savor the rich regional specialties over dinner. Boeuf bourgignon et escargots, anyone? Sleep in Beaune (1 night). Bus: 4 hrs.

Day 4: Scenic Drive to the Swiss Alps

We'll leave the rolling hills of beautiful Burgundy this morning, and climb high into the heart of the Swiss Alps. By suppertime we'll be in the Berner Oberland's magnificent Lauterbrunnen Valley, flanked by towering, waterfall-laced cliffs and crowned by a trio of Switzerland's most formidable peaks: the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. After settling into our creaky old chalet, you'll find hearty dinner options and spectacular views just a short hike away. Sleep in the Lauterbrunnen Valley (2 nights). Bus: 5 hrs.

Day 5: Spectacular Hikes in the Alps

You'll wake up in one of the most beautiful spots on Earth...and the day is all yours. Take off on a mountain excursion that combines the local cog railway, a gondola lift up to Männlichen, and a spectacular Alpine walk above the tree line, surrounded by a panorama of cut-glass peaks. You could also explore what's above the opposite side of the valley, ride a gondola lift to the top of the 10,000-foot Schilthorn, loiter in the thin air, and then hike down. Closer to the valley floor, you can witness the roaring, thundering, crashing, splashing display of nature's awesome power in Trümmelbach — a series of subterranean waterfalls that plunge hundreds of feet into darkness behind the valley's cliffs. No bus today.

Day 6: On to Bavaria

Today's drive is a good time to catch up on your journal, listen to music, curl up with a good book, or just sit back and enjoy views of pristine mountains and sparkling lakes as we make our way into the heart of Bavaria. Our destination is the people-friendly city

Hi, and nice job coming up with a rough plan.

Now comes the hard part, because in order to have any kind of meaningful experience, you need to eliminate at least 3 and preferably 4 of the destinations you've listed.

My suggestion is that you cut everything after Paris. That gives you 4 nights to add to the rest of your itinerary. Maybe this:

Rome: 4 nights
Florence: 2 nights
Venice: 3 nights
Lucerne: 2 nights
Paris: 4 nights

Regarding your questions:

  1. I'm afraid I don't know enough about Schengen Visa issues to assist you with that.

  2. I think 200 euros per day might suffice if you are careful in your selection of hotels. Several of these cities are very expensive, so you'd need to stay in budget accommodations and eat frugally to do it on 200 euros per day for two of you. And that would not include train travel.

  3. You should have no problem traveling by train between the cities on this itinerary. I suggest consulting Rome2Rio to get an idea of the times and costs involved. As for sights, even cutting your itinerary as I've suggested, you don't have a great deal of time to visit a lot of places that aren't in the guide books. There's a reason the guide books include what they include: generally, those are the things that people want to see. Even when I'm planning my own travel, I mostly have to figure out what to skip from all the enticing things listed in the guide books.

  4. You are almost certainly going to be better off buying individual train tickets as opposed to any kind of rail pass.

Finally, I just want to say that it is never a waste of anyone's precious time to assist our fellow travelers. We who contribute to this forum do so to pay forward all the help we've gotten in planning our own trips. If some of the responses you got initially were less than gracious, please understand that none of us is a professional travel consultant. It's a lot of work to plan a trip, and speaking for myself, I spend a lot of time planning my own travel, even with the assistance of people on this forum. I read a lot of guide books, I use the Internet extensively, and I post questions here to get help when I need it. I hope you will graciously accept the advice and suggestions you are given and forgive us if we aren't able to assist you to the degree you were hoping.

Happy travels!

You have your "chalk" plan. Very good. I think you have too many spots with one night stays, but it is your trip with your money. You say it is your only chance, but I hope it is not. Anyway here are my thoughts.
1. Skip Brussels and add one night to London. You may want to take a flight from Amsterdam to London.
2 I do not think a Eurail pass will help you because almost every rail connection will require you to buy a seat reservation, which is often nearly the same cost of buying an advance purchase nonrefundable ticket.
3. Again, I do not know anything about Schengen visa requirements for citizens of India. From North America, we are allowed 90 days out of 180 days automatically. So you need to research this on your own.
4. London could easily occupy 7 days by itself. It is a huge metropolis , as I am sure is Kolkata. But we all have only so much time and money. So I wish you good luck and keep us informed on your plans. Everyone here is willing to help.

Why do you think you want to go to Europe? You must have some idea of what you want to see, or you wouldn't want to go. So what are your desires? I could give you a selection of places I would go to, but it might not be what you wanted to see. You need to do some research and get an idea of what you want to see before you ask for specific advice.

BTW, Europe is not, as some people seem to think, a few large cities (London, Paris, Luzern, Florence, Venice, Rome) with nothing but desert in between. There are a lot of interesting things in Europe that are in far less expensive places.

I can tell you that Paris and Rome are very expensive, and so is Switzerland. Unless you avoid Paris and Rome, I don't think you can do it on the budget you propose.

I have no concept of what air fare from India to Europe might be. From the US today you would probably be hard pressed to find airfare at less than, say, $1250/person. That estimate might be low, but it's still half your total budget. Maybe you could find your own air fare, subtract it from your total budget, then give us a goal for on-the-ground expenses in Europe.

When I plan a trip, I figure 24-hour periods. I arrive on mid-day on the arrival day and depart mid-day on the departure day, so the arrival day and the departure day make about one full day, plus or minus one meal. That also corresponds to nights, and since overnight accommodations are a significant part of the budget, figuring nights works. So you are looking at 16 or 17 nights.

On my last trip, 21 nights in southern Germany, my partner and I averaged about 140€/night. But I am an experienced German traveler, pretty good at finding low cost accommodations and economical train fares, Germany can be less expensive than some countries, and I don't spend much time big cities. You will probably need more like 200€/night (or more).

So, for 16 nights, that's 3200€, leaving 1800€ for air fare. Does that seem to you like it would work?

Lee, airfares from India are way cheaper than from the USA, even though it is the same distance. Even people from Europe traveling to North America are paying less to fly on the exact same airplanes we use. There is definite collusion since many of the legacy carriers dropped out of the way or merged or signed exclusive marketing agreements with European carriers.

"...euro 4000 approximately for cost of this tour excluding to and fro airfare."

1 Rome -03 nights including the day of arrival
2. Florance-01 nights
3.Venice-02 nights
4. Lucerne-02 nights
5.Paris-03 nights
6.Brussels-01 night
7.Amsterdam -02 nights
8.London -1 night

My comments and suggestions:

  • These are mostly expensive places. Because your time is short in them, you will probably want some spare funds to take advantage of one or more guided tours. You will probably want to stay in hotels with a convenient location for seeing the sights efficiently - this may mean a somewhat more expensive room, all other things being equal.

  • It's hard to say what your accommodations cost without an understanding of your requirements and 1.5 years in advance of your travel date. I suggest you get an idea of cost and value by checking rates for this September at standard booking engines (booking.com, etc.) Lee's cost quotes for his own trips are specific to Lee's travel style and to Germany... he knows what he's doing... and it's unlikely that your actual budget 20 months from now in the places you have in mind will resemble his budget.

  • Drop the places where you have allocated only one night - you won't have time to see them properly anyway. That yields 3 free nights. Add a day to Rome, Paris and A'dam so that you can at least see those properly and perhaps take a small day trip from A'dam. Fly home from A'dam.

  • You then have just 4 major train journeys to investigate, which should reduce your transport costs: Rome-Venice, Venice-Luzern, Luzern-Paris, Paris-A'dam. Consult the national railway websites of the countries you will travel in for information on point-to-point fares - you can't get fares for next year, but you can at least check to see what fares are available now (or over the next couple months) for September 2016. There are people on this forum who can provide feedback in response to specific questions about routes and fares.

Hi,

Some comments on your projected trip in Sept. 2017. In Germany certain big cities hold trade fairs in September at which time the hotel rates are increased for that purpose. If Munich is in your plans, there is also the event of Oktoberfest which also brings forth more expensive hotel rates than normally is the case. Normally for double room which is what you would want and the hotel/Pension would expect you to want costs from 65 to 115 Euro, depending on the level of luxury offered in that hotel. I stay in small hotels or Pensionen as a solo traveler, where my cost for single room is from 40-57 Euro in Germany. If you stay in a 4 star hotel , you can expect the rate to be 130-160 Euro for a double.

True, one can book 4 star hotels for the price of a 2 star, ie instead of paying 115 Euro for a single, you pay with advanced booking and their offered promo rate of 59-68 Euro. The price also is dependent on the city. Generally , northern and eastern Germany, where I spend most of my time there, will be less expensive or even cheaper than in southern Germany, such Stuttgart or Munich.

Certain cities will certainly be expensive compared to other cities, especially when measured against what you paid relative to what you received. London and Paris are plainly expensive, Vienna is less expensive but depends on the luxury you want, it can be very expensive too. Berlin is by far the cheapest, as is Budapest. I've seen Indian tourists visiting Munich, Berlin, Vienna, obviously, London and Paris, not yet Budapest, although there I've Korean and Chinese tourists, numerous. Budapest is cheaper, interesting, offers good food, has become a traveler's attraction in this decade.

Leave Brussels and Amsterdam aside to make a London stay worthwhile.

  1. Rome -03 nights
  2. Florence -02 nights
  3. Venice -02 nights
  4. Lucerne -02 nights
  5. Paris -03 nights
  6. London -03 nights

Two three things are very clear from your notes in this site as well as from other travel sites.
1.too many places to travel within a short period of time----we have decided to skip Brussels and Florence and add those days to London.our revised tour plan is as under:-
Rome-3days(including the day of arrival)
Venice-2days
Lucerne-2days
Paris-3days
Amsterdam-2days
London-3days (excluding the day of departure)

Again this is not a final tour plan.it may need correction and alteration depending upon your advice and suggestion.

2.everybody is concerned about the cost of the tour. Our capacity to incur eur4000+-10%(excluding the to and fro airfare from Kolkata) may not be sufficient to manage the entire cost of the tour like accommodation, food, cost of transportation from one to another and entry fees, guide charges and cost of local sight seeing.
the cost of lodging and boarding charges at the enlisted places under the tour plan are very expensive as opined by almost every friend.Hence it is necessary to curtail the cost of the tour.we do not know how?we have already added 10%as escalation cost because we are planning to initiate this tour in the month of september-2017.
3.should we skip London and add 2days in Florence in the tour plan or should we skip Amsterdam add those two days in Florence to reduce the cost of the tour .
but London is the most expensive city and a separate visa is required to visit London which means the involvement of additional cost.

4 .place to place separate rail ticket with reservation is encouraged by everybody as opposed to Eu-rail pass .I am searching railway ticket booking sites where advance railway tickets can be purchased with reservation .A discounted fare can be availed if purchased well in advance. Sometime Airfares are cheaper than the railway ticket .Bus fares are the cheapest but certainly taking more time.what is your opinion? is it necessary to book tickets in advance to avail discount or current booking do not harm anything on cost?
5. I was searching a popular hotel booking site .I find that 50-60 euro is necessary for a double bedded room with attached bath at the city like Paris and Rome if I book the hotel in advance.they provide complementary breakfast also.they are not the big hotel but standard one.Is it necessary to book the hotels in advance or spot booking can be availed to get best bargain rate?what is your opinion?
6.How would you like to initiate this tour in the month of September? Is it a peak season? Is it the raining time there? How is the weather in the month of September-too cold?

Your latest itinerary looks better. If you need to reduce expenses, remember that you will have a great trip even if you do not go to all the most expensive places--especially if walking around and looking at the historic districts (as opposed to going inside museums and other attractions) is a big part of why you want to go to Europe. Most of the cities you are looking at (not Lucerne) are very rich in museums. How important is that to you? Remember that visiting a lot of museums can be quite costly.

If you trim one or two places on the edges of your trip and fill in with more geographically convenient cities or increase your time in the remaining cities, you will save money by covering less territory (fewer flights and long-distance trains). You will save additional money if you substitute a smaller, somewhat less touristy city for one of your high-cost stops. For example, Italy is full of fabulous cities. None is a good substitute for Venice, but if you are not especially interested in western European art, you might consider visiting a less expensive city rather than Florence.

Since you mentioned needing a separate visa for the stop in London, I suggest dropping London from this trip. You'd also avoid the expense of crossing the channel.

Other opportunities to economize:

  • Consider skipping Lucerne, since Switzerland is very, very expensive. I just looked at hotel prices for September 2016 and found nothing under $110 US (about 100 euros) per night. You could either add the time to one of your other stops or substitute another convenient, interesting location between Paris and northern Italy.

  • For your time in Venice, consider staying in Venice-Mestre rather than in the historic city. No one really wants to suggest that, because Mestre is a charmless industrial suburb (about 15 minutes away by very frequent train), but it's worth doing if you can save a lot of money on a hotel. But be sure the savings are significant after adding the cost of the short train ride back and forth.

  • Also, plan your visit to Venice carefully so that you do not need to take many vaporetto rides. They are now extraordinarily expensive. If you stay in the historic area, be sure your hotel isn't in so obscure a location that you'll be spending 30-40 euros per day (or more) on the vaporetto.

As for weather: North of the Alps the weather can be rather cool and rainy at any time of the year, though it was brutally hot in much of Europe last year from late May through early September. I would be shocked if it were truly cold in September (except high up in the mountains), but the weather can change rather suddenly is September. I would definitely start your trip in the north and end it in Italy, which is likely to be warmer (though perhaps not in Venice). Include a warm sweater or jacket and some sort of rain protection in your suitcase.

Hotels: You will do very well if you can find double rooms with bath in the 50-60 euro range in the cities on your list. I think you should reserve your rooms in advance to assure that you have something well-located in your price range. Seriously think about whether you will need air-conditioning. Booking in advance, you will not know what kind of weather to expect. If you live without air-conditioning at home, you will certainly be OK without it in Europe. If you have air-conditioning at home and hit hot weather in Europe, you will not enjoy a room that is not air-conditioned. A lot of the less expensive hotels will not be air-conditioned.

  • Since your trip is short, you will probably want to take fast trains, especially for your long trips. They will be much cheaper if you buy the tickets early. But you will be locked in to those specific trains. Flights work the same way, of course. Slower trains often have standard prices available even on the day of departure.

I think a budget of 4000 € for a couple over 15 nights is quite reasonable. This equates to approx 260 € per day....
140 € hotel
50 € meals
40 € transport
30 € entry fees
With a little careful research and planning, this could easily be managed by making bookings well in advance.

A few notes on your latest post.

  1. September weather is fine in Europe. They do not have monsoon season like India.

  2. If you do drop London and add Florence, I suggest ending the trip in Paris and fly home from Paris as it appears, at least at present, that airfares home will be significantly cheaper. Air India is showing fares of about 550 EUR from Kolkata to Rome and home from Paris.
As such, if you want to keep Amsterdam in the mix, you will want to go there from Luzern and then to Paris. By rail, it will be at least 9 hours and about 100 EUR per person. An alternative would be train to Basel and local bus to Basel/Mulhouse/Freiberg airport than fly to Amsterdam by Easyjet, tickets are in the 40 EURO per person range and there may be extra fees for luggage.

  3. Rail tickets can generally be bought 4 months in advance for Italy and Amsterdam-Paris train. currently looking out 4 months these are rail costs for 2. Rome-Florence 38 EUR, Florence-Venice 43 EUR, Venice-Luzern 56 EUR, Luzern-Amsterdam (rail plus air) 200 EUR, Amsterdam-Paris, 105 EUR. Total is 442 EUR.

  4. Hotel costs will vary by location. Venice, Luzern, and Amsterdam are expensive. But a budget of 100 euro per night is doable for the whole trip. So 16 nights is 1600 EUR.

  5. I think 50 EUR per person per day is a reasonable budget for food, local transport, entry fees to museums and attractions. So that is 1500 euro.

  6. Recapping 500 EUR inter-Europe transport (I added a contingency here), 1600 EUR lodging, 1500 EUR food and spending, gives 3600 EUR cost leaving you with a 400 EUR contingency.

Since you have a year to plan, you can keep fine tuning, but I think you are well on your way.

this is the final tour plan which has came out at last.
Rome-03days
Florance-2days
Venice-02 days
Lucerne-02 days
France-04 days
Amsterdam-02 days.

The only confusion with this tour plan is that whether to go France at last of this tour or Amsterdam.
it is a very long train journey from Lucerne to Amaterdam and we have only 02 days in hand to visit Amterdam.

Almost everybody suggested to avail a multi-city flight Is it cheaper than the normal one?

1.tour plan concentrated on Schengen visa area.
2.Planning this tour in the month of September-2017(nice month to visit Europe as advised by everybody.
3. cancelled the proposal to avail Eurail pass.
4. we have the capacity to spend approximately Euro4000 during this tour excluding our to and fro plane fare from Kolkata.
We are reading guide books to get a rough idea about the places mentioned above.moreover we are requesting to your good self to guide us properly so that we an visit the must see places atleast during our tour to Europe.in this connection we repeat that we are fond of scenic beauties-natures own creation-be it a snow capped mountain or a breathtaking sea beach .history, ruins, museums and old temples are also within the ,list of our choice.

thanks to you all for helping us a lot by giving your valuable advice and suggestions.Your assistance would be ever remembered by us.this is probably the last mail from us unless anything urgent .Probably your assistance would be required again at time of flight ticket ,rail ticket and hotel booking.
