Hi, we will in Segovia Spain on October 12, which is the national holiday. Will tourist attractions be open, such as the museums,the Alcazar etc. to tourists, as well as restaurants and tapas bars?

Marjorie, I made a day trip from Madrid to Segovia on October 12th last year and it was the best thing I did on that trip. Everything was open in Segovia, and the crowds were a bit larger than normal for a midweek day, but compared to the madness I found in Madrid (my hotel was near Puerta del Sol) upon my return, it was great!

Thanks so much for the information. It will be exciting to be in a smaller city during a national holiday! I have not used this message board before, and am very impressed, to say the least! We are staying on/near the Calle del Roble in Segovia. We are very excited to be paying our first visit to Spain, and your answer is much appreciated. Marjorie
