Naples / Capri / Amfali Coast

First time to Europe, my cruise ship stops in Naples / Capri. I have a full day to tour the area. I was planning to hire a private tour guide in order to see as much as possible. Please share with me the best attractions to see in Capri, Naples and Amfali Coast. Would it be best to take the ferry?

you could go to sorrento, take the sita bus along the amalfi coast, stop in positano, and almalfi town.
or you could take the hydro boat from sorrento to capri and ana capri. you have lots of options. did not spend much time in naples but have seen other post that it is worth some time. good luck :):)

Hi Pamela What ever you decide to do, DO NOT take the public bus. I was in Naples few months ago. I read over and over everything people said about Naples safety issues. We took the train from Rome to Naples. We were supposed to spend few days in Capri. Upon our arrival to the train station in Naples we realized that we were too far to walk to the port . We asked at the train station and they told us to take the bus to the port, which we did. Everything was find until it was time to get out of the bus. There are 2 doors in the bus one in the front one in the back. " a nice guy" said to us you need to get out using the front door. Of course we americans follow rules, when we were getting close to the stop we stood up from out seats. As soon as the bus stop the locals (which are so "kind" to let you seat while the travel standing up) tight their self together to the point that you have to push people to get out before the bus take off. During the time we were pushing to get out of the bus, they opened my husband pants zipper, and took the wallet. He never felt anything until we got out of the bus, by then the bus was gone. People are very rude by nature, if someone if nice to you watch out.
Capri is beautiful. Have fun and safe trip

Not sure if I would follow waddys advice. But if you take the bus....or for that matter a train....or are anywhere else crowded where bumping into other people is par for the course because of congestion.... DON'T USE A WALLET TO HOLD ANYTHING OF VALUE. Have all of your money...passports, Eurail passes, etc in a money belt under your clothes. Have enough change in your hand to pay the bus fare. When you reach your destination head to the toilets and remove from your money belt enough cash to handle your needs for the day.
