I figured someone would understand. '79

On the subject of travel, this is one of the creative excuses for travel.

I have attended in 3 countries over the years.

Softly call the muster,
Let comrade answer, “Here!”
Their spirits hover ‘round us:
As if to bring us cheer!
Mark them "present" in our hearts,
We’ll meet some other day.
There is no Death, but Life Eterne
For heroes such as they!

Husband is class 68. FIL class 45. SIL class 99. I grew up in the shadow of CS. So much tradition. War hymn brings a lump in my throat when I hear it.

Carol, college is Texas A&M ... whoop

Aggie by marriage ... wife class of '79 ... went to the football game vs Notre Dame in 2001, 2 weeks after 9/11 ... met President Bush (dad, not son ... he was kinda busy at the time) as he walked across the parking lot ... nicest man ever, was very patient with me as my camera acted up while trying to take a pic of my daughter with him ... but the guys in the black suits with the big lumps under their jackets didn't look too happy.
