This is the price my spouse has to pay for going to Paris w/out me this time. Said it was an orderly evacuation.
On the other hand, today was an important anniversary for their vetrans association and the parades were particularly spectacular.
But I got to see our younger son's face as he qualified for State swim meet. Life is full of tradeoffs.

Sorry you weren't in Paris but it was a bit scary when we left th last time as there was a bomb scare at the airport. We were met at the airport with men in uniforms holding machine guns giving us orders in French! He just pointed where we were supposed to go - didn't need a translation there!

We were in the area on that day (hubby's birthday) and saw the Veterans parade. They were happy to have their pics taken.
As to the bomb scare...my sis was at the museum and it was really not a big deal. Just a scare. She would still choose to live in Europe over the US any day.
