My wife and I are thinking about purchasing Eurail Select passes covering Switzerland, France, Germany, and Italy. I understand that for the overnight train from Munich to Venice we need to book reservations for a sleeper car (60 Euros each for a double), but if we don't have Austria as one of our 4 countries will we have to pay an additional fee for passing through?
