Multi city transportation and other recommendations please

Traveling to Europe (my fifth time!) end of June - first week of July:

Geneva Two (2) nights (graduation)
Lake Region? One (1) night - LEISURE 😀
Venice Five (5) nights - LEISURE 😀
Prague Four (4) nights (1 day business)
Amsterdam (2) nights (social visit)

I’d appreciate any thoughts and suggestions on my proposed itinerary.

Last items to plan:

  • Hotel in Lake District
  • Stop between Venice
  • Flight to Prague from Venice
  • Flight to Amsterdam from Prague
  • Day trip to Echt
  • Hotel in Amsterdam

I want to take the train (for scenic reasons) and find a hotel for one night somewhere convenient between Geneva and Venice. Stresa sounds like the best location. Hotel recommendations would be appreciated. Ideally, something romantic with a view, but I want to keep the budget under $400-500.

I would like to stop somewhere special (i.e., delicious, beautiful, or not-to-miss, LOL) for a couple of hours on the train ride from the Lake District to Venice. I assume most train stations will have lockers to leave our luggage.

A trip from Venice to Prague would be too time-consuming on the train, so I’ll book a flight.

Prague- we need (Hopefully only) a half day for my man’s Business/research - I usually tag along—the rest of the time, we want to explore at our leisure.
Again, with our schedule, train travel seems like it could be more logical from Prague to Amsterdam, so I will book a flight.
We have enough points to cover a free hotel for two nights at the airport in Amsterdam. I understand it is outside of the city center, but it will be convenient for our morning flight back to the States.

On the first day in Amsterdam going to make a quick social visit - taking the train to the small town of Echt. Any suggestions for *something interesting** on or near the route?

*Echt-Susteren is situated in a Euregional area. In the west, the municipality borders to Belgium and in the east to Germany. The narrowest is only 4.8 km wide. It is possible to walk from Germany to Belgium via Netherlands in under an hour. The area of Echt-Susteren is a green municipality, also known as the green waist of Limburg.
