Has anyone taken one of the MP3 tours of cities? and why would you take one? Rick Steves produces very good ones and I produce them at Strollon but i can not find out why the concept has not caught on earlier. Does anyone have a view?
i think many people pre-down load their copy on their MP3 (ie iPod). iTunes has downloads on tours, including the museums. Its convenient and discreet, so maybe there are plenty of people who do download, but it looks like they are listening to music??
I did one of the historical Dublin Tourism iWalks (google will get you there). It was very interesting and well narrated - the map/booklet I printed out ahead of time was helpful. The only thing is I'd wished I had listened to the whole thing first, then done the walk (the directions weren't straightforward). I didn't feel like I stuck out as a "tourist" walking around with my iPod - everyone has them on in a city.
