Motorcycle Tour

I've never been on a motorcycle tour, as my wife and child made my sell my sports touring cycle many years ago. I have had to get my jollies flying planes, in bass boats, personal watercraft and ATV's.
I have been driving mountain roads as fast as my car would go in the Austrian Alps and Northern Italy--only to be passed by a string of motorcycles running flat out. I'd drive 15 or 20 minutes longer and come up on the cyclists with their leathers peeled down--trying to cool off. Those guys are not lacking in guts.
You shouldn't have a difficult problem finding European cycle rentals and groups on Google. I cannot think of a greater experience to undertake--if I wasn't of retirement age.

Sounds like you have had some fun times in spite of not having a motorcycle! A sports car in the alps sounds incredible! I have checked into some tours but it seems like not much time is spent in the locations you might want to explore. My wife and I are going to Croatia next June and considered a motorcycle tour but we are wanting to spend more time in some of the towns so we are going to rent a car. I am going to do a tour on a motorcycle some day, perhaps in the alps. It's never to late to get a bike again. Just saying! Safe travels.

Sounds like a fun trip. Just a word of caution. Motorcycling in Med countries like Spain or Italy entail some risks. The driving is very aggressive and other motorcyclists are some of the worst. Just take care and be safe.
