We will be finishing up our river cruise in Budapest on a Saturday morning in early June and need to get to Parma Italy by Sunday morning to start our cycling tour. Just trying to determine the best way to get from point B to point P- train, bus, plane or some combination of these modes of transportation.

Ryanair flies everyday from Budapest to Bergamo. Take a train from Bergamo to Parma.
Wizzair flies everyday from Budapest to Milan Malpensa. Take a train from Malpensa to Parma.
Bergamo has a charming Old Town up on the hill, but I don't know how far out the airport is, or whether there'd be a place to check your bags in Bergamo while you do some sightseeing.
Bergamo sounds like the best solution. Thanks
