I am planning to travel from Dijon to Lucca by train in September and would like to know the most efficient route to get there and where/how to book my tickets. I looked at a combination of train/flight but it is logistically too complicated. Thanks in advance to all for your responses

It's a very long journey by day, so best to take a night train.

The night train is operated by Thello, but tickets for that train plus the connections are also sold by Trenitalia (the primary Italian rail operator), Rail Europe, Train Line and other ticket agents.
