Thanks to Frank II for finding that live hyperlinks work again!!

He did it in: http://www.ricksteves.com/graffiti/helpline/index.cfm/rurl/topic/41998/two-seemingly-great-luggage-options.html

Now we need to know how it happened.... I tried the following:....

For example:

<a href="http://www.ricksteves.com/rail/rail_menu.htm&quot;&gt;To Rick Steves Rail Page</a>

and that didn't work for me. Can any of you others try it and let us know how it will work?

Thanks Webbie!!, Thanks Frank II !!!

I think Michael is correct. Old posts dated before the software problem that occurred in Sept will still show live links, but it's no longer possible to create a live link because HTML code by users is no longer allowed. Frank II's posting referred to above is a post from before the software problem. Attempted use of HTML code by users is likely to be permanently prohibited.

HTML code will, if you can somehow get it on the souce page, will still ececute, ie. <a href....> in the source will still be a link. If you look at the source code for this page (right mouse click), you will see plenty of HTML code. However, the Repy box editor won't accept HTML code. For instance, it changes <a> in the source code to &;lt;a&;gt;, which still dispays like <a>, but doesn't execute.
