Month in Europe - Comments on Itinerary

My wife and I are planning a month in Europe next summer. We've travelled to a few European cities already, none that we plan to visit next summer, but have never tried anything like this before. We took a stab at an itinerary, likely 3-5 days in each city, and are interested in feedback.

Paris
Amsterdam
Hamburg
Copenhagen
Stockholm
Oslo

Plan would be to fly into the first city and home from the last and travel by train between cities. Likely we'd do a combination of hotels and Airbnb rentals.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated, we're just starting to put this together.

All fine cities of course, but I would want to see the transit details to decide if I felt the overall plan was a solid one. I kinda focus on logistics when I travel, because I feel any place has things to offer to the curious.

You might want to consider mixing in a few days in smaller towns to break up all the city time. I've found that things blur together a bit when I move from big city to big city repeatedly.

Understanding your likes and dislikes are important too... What will you want to do in each place? Museums, outdoor activities, day trips to.etc...? What experiences do you want to savor/

I love cities too but you will benefit more from this trip if you add some small towns too. You will get a better feel for the country and it’s culture.

I've never been a fan of "amazing race" type itineraries. Your current itinerary only sees only one big city in each country. I'd try to stick with only one country and get to know both the city and countryside.

Like for example, you could combine Paris with a road trip in Brittany or Alsace.
Or
Oslo, with a stop over to Bergen and a roadtrip through the western fjords

1) Skip Hamburg, it pales compared to the other cities on your list.

2) Consider a separate trip to Scandinavia to spend more time enjoying the places you plan to visit. When you do visit Norway consider visiting the North Sea ports with their awesome fjords. We did a fantastic cruise up to the North Cape visiting 6 ports in Norway.

3) Consider visiting smaller towns or cities near these major cities, example, Brugges, Belgium is a must see for a day.

You have a month, so if you plan to do Scandinavia, plan on a week visiting Paris and Amsterdam with visits to surrounding areas like Brugges and a windmills tour in Netherlands.
