Mixing medication &vitamins

To save room can I place meds with vitamins I do that all the time in the states or am I creating an unnecessary obstacle for myself

The politically correct answer is....... you have to have prescription bottles for your meds and should have labeled bottles for vitamins as well. Someone will probably say it's the law or airline regulation but.... In reality, I don't think this is a top priority compared to all the other security issues. My wife sorted all her vitamins in a two week travel dispenser organizer thing and I really didn't give it a second thought. It was a lot smaller than all those bottles of expensive vitamins (don't get me started on that issue...) Now maybe someone will post a personal experience to the contrary and prove me wrong but the odds of this being a problem for an occasional traveler such as myself are low.

I do it all the time. Usually I just mix them all in one container, although occasionally (when I am feeling exceptionally orderly) I put each day's supply in the tiny zip-lock bags that you can buy at Michael's.

I put everything in one or two of those 7 day pill boxes in my checked bag when I'm only going for a couple weeks. I do however take backups for my prescriptions in their original containers (in my carry-on). Vitamins you can live without. Real Meds not so much. I get 90 day supplies of my prescriptions which come in large containers and my pharmacy kindly has made up small ones for me with the correct dosage, Rx etc. for longer (6 weeks or so) trips. For long trips I throw new, unopened bottles of my favorite vitamins in my suitcase and decant into plastic baggies after clearing customs. Plastic baggies of pills could be anything so give the security folk a break.
