There is a website called Points.com in which one can supposedly sell or trade points/miles to other people when you have points/miles in one airline and you want to move them to another. I looked in the Search on this forum, and there is a posting on the subject,however, it isn't apparently working and brought me back to the main page. So, does anyone have any experience with this or perhaps other websites that accomplish the same thing?

Since every frequent flyer program makes it a violation to sell points you are at risk of the airline figuring out you bought the ticket and just canceling your flight. And the airlines do monitor sites like that

And the airline will cancel your membership of their programme and confiscate any remaining points.

points.com is in partnership with a number of the airlines and hotel FF programs. You can only trade between those programs that participate. Going through points.com is one of the few legitimate ways to trade points.
I looked at it once, but didn't think it was a very good deal unless you happened to have points that you would never use. I'd suggest that you search on the flyertalk website. There are several hundred posts about it here:
