Mexico City

Yes - I know, not general Europe, but y'all are so dang smart.

Is anyone familiar with, or know of any good first hand resources (or even tour companies or tour guides) for Mexico City?

A group I conduct has been invited to sing there this summer, and it's one area I am really unfamiliar with. Any help appreciated! =)

Thanks all!

Been there three times independently, and had a blast. IMO it's one of the most underrated cities in the world. It contains more places of worship than any other place in the world. The Bascilica de Guadeloupe is the second most visited Catholic site, only the Vatican receives more pilgrims, it's a "mecca" type experience. The Central district has a very European type vibe to it, and the Pyramid complex outside the city is stunning! There's a great art scene, and a lot of cutting edge modern architecture has sprung up lately. For info about tour companies/guides you should check out the Trip Advisor forum, and the Lonely Planet city guide.

Thanks, Michael! (Awesome information.)

I'm definitely interested in finding a church for my group to sing a concert or mass service in while we're down there, so that's really encouraging news. (We'd like to go down a few days before the symphony gig, and do our own concerts).

If you have any suggestions on good churches to sing it, let me know! =) (Or if you're down there this summer, let me know and I can send you our concert info. =)

Thanks again! Chris
