Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays!!

To all my forum friends, wishing you the best holiday season and a fantastic New Year! Thank you for all your help and advise.
Kathy

Addendum: We’re making homemade pizza for our annual Christmas Day Pizza Party/Open House. Lots of stuff on each pizza—pepperoni, salami, sausage, mozzarella, peppers and olives, mushrooms—unlike the flatbread-like Rome and Naples pizza. We’re expecting close to 20 friends. Eat, Drink and be Merry!

Happy Christmas and holidays to all - watching the local birds out the window nibbling the Christmas suet balls. Happy Christmas to them too. Crisp, sunny, and dry. No snow.

May your new year be safe and full of fun and interesting adventures - in a good way.

I am lucky enough to be sitting on the couch in the dark with the Christmas tree, the cat, and a cup of coffee, watching the sun come up over the mountains (we have plenty of snow here in Vermont!), waiting for the kids to wake up. Bliss.

I am so thankful for all the opportunities we have and for quiet moments like this.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays. Enjoy this peaceful time of year.

Merry Christmas all from the Atlantic Coast of Canada! And we get Boxing Day here as well and I'm so happy the stores in our province are closed so I can enjoy two blissful days of rest!

Merry Christmas to all celebrating, and Happy Hanukkah to those who have been and are celebrating.

I am Frenchified “enough” not to wish Happy New Year until January 1!

May everyone enjoy peace, love, joy, security, and good health (and some travel adventures too!).

Merry Christmas from north central British Colombia. -12C this morning, sunny, with fresh snow in the trees. Lovely morning for a walk on the nearby forest trails ! Best wishes to all and many happy travels to all the lovely folks on this forum.

¡Feliz Navidad! and Merry Christmas from the Sonoran Desert near Tucson. It's a chilly 55° at our house, but the sun is shining through our south windows and keeping us warm. Gotta love that free solar heat.

I just finished making a batch of mince empanadas and I'm starting to contemplate Christmas dinner. Wouldn't want to rush into these things.

My husband, our dog and I are enjoying a relaxing and peaceful day. We hope you are, too.

70+ degrees here today. Got the goose in the oven and grabbed my sweetie to go for a long walk. Southern Italy is coming up, and we have to get in shape!

Lo, I read your "mince empanadas" as "mice empanadas!" Hard times in Tuscon? :-)

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas who was celebrating.

Jane, not a creature was stirred in, not even a mouse. Unfortunately for protein in my empanadas, the mice are a major food source for coyotes, hawks and owls out our way southwest of Tucson. In fact, I saw an owl on the edge of the road having one for an early dinner a few nights ago. Yum!

Lo, next time we go to my sister's in Phoenix, I want to stop in Tucson and buy you lunch. We miss you!

Jane, sounds like plan. In the realm of "beyond Europe" travel, if time is available for anyone who comes this way the major sites from closer to Phoenix to south and west of Tucson include but are not limited to:

Biosphere 2

Saguaro National Park

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

Pima Air & Space Museum

Mission San Xavier del Bac

Kitt Peak National Observatory

And, Tucson is the first city in the United States to be designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. There are plenty of good places to eat.
