Bright sunshine, lying snow, temperature rocketing up to -2, just saw Miracle on 34th Street (except the signal dropped out for the last 10 minutes so I Amazon'd it for delivery on Wednesday), going to the neighbors after a while for turkey, English style - hold the chippolatas! A very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year to all..

Merry Christmas to all and hope the year 2011 will be great especially when traveling abroad. After 6 days of rain in so-cal nice to see 2 days of sunshine with more rain coming this week. I read in USA today when there is approximately 100,000 people visiting in Bethlehem today.

Merry Christmas, Jo! No snow here yet, but we're supposed to get some later. First time since 1982 there's been snow in Atlanta on Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all on the HelpLine, from the somewhat "white" Okanagan Valley (it's about +6.5°C at the moment, so it's not going to stay "white" for long). Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year, and many happy travels in 2011!

Jo, questions can not be asked except on the Helpline, but I don't think the Helpline is limited only to questions. Thanks for the wish. Same to you and all the posters her on the Wall.

At Darcy- the last I heard from Eli- she and her family (Mom included) were on their way to France. Mom had made the Thanksgiving trip to see one of her sons in Alabama fine. If I hear from her, I'll update everyone here.

A very merry Christmas to all who generously share their advice, ideas, and experiences on the Helpline, and may the new year bring happiness to all! Daughter and I are off to Japan in a few days to visit a niece, but the summer will likely see us back in Europe... maybe even on the RS Istanbul trip!

We did get snow in Atlanta last night, but I have to correct my last post -- it's the first white Christmas here since 1882.

And here's to all of those people who are not in snowy locations and who are facing drought, who are without food and those struggling under the hardships of war and intolerance and disease - stay safe too, not just for this two week holiday but all year round. Merry Christmas and a more tolerant New Year to everyone.
