Medications

I have been advised to carry my Rx medications in their original Rx bottle.I have over the counter meds that I take as well; do they need to be in original continers, too? They are much larger (100 to 300 tablets)? Janet

The TSA does NOT require any meds to be in their original bottle- neither prescription or otc. The reason it is often recommended to use Rx bottles is the info on the lable in case of an emergency or if you need additional meds while overseas. Ask your pharmacist to print an extra lable and place it on a baggie- put that med in that baggie. Put your otcs in their own baggie and just hand write a lable. Or use pill organizers and take the info on a seperate sheet- any of these work. Having the info with you ( and accessable- all meds and info should be in your carry-on- not checked) is what is important.
