Medication Packing - labels, bottles, etc.

Has anyone had any problems with medications not be packed in original bottles when traveling to Europe?

Rick Steve's recommends bringing medications in the original bottles. I am 71 years old, and I have up to 18 different meds, in the past, I have always pre packed my AM and PM meds in tiny ziplocked bags to minimize bulk, and eliminate errors while traveling as this is mistakes are easy when traveling.

I typically bring all of the perscriptions but not the bottles.

Thank You in advance.

While we only have about a third of your number of meds, we have always simply put them in zip lock baggies with extra lables attached. And we also carry the data sheets with us that show what is is, what it is for, and who it is for. We have never had a problem. That's not to say it can't happen, just our experience. If any of your meds contain high powered controlled narcotics, you might want to leave them in the original containers.
So for as I know, there are (in the U.S.) only a few states that require meds to be kept in original containers, and I've never heard of a case of anyone being charged with not doing so.
