Malta on Sundays

(Asking in General Europe because Malta is not in the country list! What gives?!)

Anyways, what is Malta like on Sundays? Is everything (shops & restaurants) closed? That was the case when I was in Germany and Switzerland. If so, I'm thinking Sunday would be a good day to book tickets for Hypogeum, combine with Tarxien before/after, and Birgu Fort St. Angelo afterwards. Is that a good plan?

Please advice.

When I went, I had to get those Hypogeum tickets many months in advance, so look into the availability as soon as you can. I don't recall what Sundays were like but, even if many attractions are closed, you could easily spend time just strolling around the fortifications.

Thanks. There are still tickets for Hypogeum on the days I'd be in Malta, including Sunday, which is why I'm asking to decide if I should go on Sunday or another day during my visit.
