Malta help please

Hi
There is a group of adults (12-15) of us traveling to Malta in late December. Does anyone have a private guide that we could hire for multiple day tours to different areas on the island? Also, we were thinking of using Bolt vans for transportation. Besides the bus, does anyone have a contact or company for mini buses or vans that would be private? Thank you

The local company for rides is ecab (https://ecabs.com.mt/). I have used them multiple times, though not for such large groups. You might want to give it a look though.

In case you want to visit the hypogeum neolithic catacombs, book as far in advance as possible, particularly for so many people.

Nice time to be on the island btw. You can at least do things like Mdina, Dingli Cliffs and Marsaxlokk without much need for a guide. Valletta could benefit, depending on your plans, but I don’t know one, unfortunately.

Have you checked Tours by Locals? We used two of their guides a few years ago. Both were great, but I see they are no longer listed, unfortunately. But, there are plenty more listed there. Walkative offers tours that do Valletta, Mdina and Rabat. They are at freewalkingtour.com. It's a tips-only system. We've done 3 or 4 all over Europe and they all have been good. Or, try company called Malta Private Guide. We didn't use them, as we decided on TBL, but they've got a nice selection of options and were happy to work with us. With that many people, you'd have to contact both companies, or one of TBL's private guides and book the group in advance. A group of 12-15 is going to require some special accommodations. Also, there's always Viator. I agree with the previous poster's comments that you could do Mdina, Dingli Cliffs and Marsaxlokk without a guide, Hypogeum supplies their own guide. but at least for Mdina, having one would enhance your experience. E-cabs is cheap and easy. We used them to go everywhere as we found the bus system, while robust, was often very crowded and the schedule was 'flexible' at best. Of course, you would need a flotilla of private cars with e-cabs, but that could be fun, too.
