Luzern hotel with breakfast in Sept

Well, we have booked air for Sept, 2021. We are two fully-vaccinated adults. We have our fingers crossed.
Are looking for a hotel in Luzern [Lucerne] on the river or lake, with view, that has breakfast. We have stayed at the hotel Des Alpes and loved it, but doesn't seem to offer breakfast [Booking.com.] -unless I missed that detail. I know it will be $300+, but sometimes it's worth it. [Maybe I have enough points?]
Any suggestions? You all have come thru for us in the past!

Safe travels!

Hotel Des Alpes certainly had breakfast when I stayed there in 2019. I agree this hotel with its location is worth it.

I think there will be breakfast by Sept, but if not, you will remember it is just a walk across the bridge to the train station and the mall full of groceries and restaurants underneath it. You wouldn't have to go very far.

Check the hotel website. It indicates that an a la carte breakfast can be ordered. Sometimes room rates are less when booking through the hotels private site too.

I can recommoned the Ameron Luzern Hotel Flora. It is less than a block from the wooden bridge on the same side as the train station. (About a five minute walk.)

I've stayed there twice and booked directly. A very nice hotel breakfast was included.

No views from the hotel but it was clean and very convenient to get anywhere.

As stated previously, if you book direct, you sometimes get more included.

Hotel des Alpes indicates on their website that they provide a "Continental Breakfast". I'm not sure whether that's prepackaged or not?

One of the really sad consequences of this awful plague is that the fabulous hotel buffet breakfasts, one of the things we really enjoy about travelling, have been removed because of the concern about spreading the disease.

I hope that when the plague eventually fades into the background then these breakfasts can return.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Hotel Balances with a balcony view of the river and the historical covered bridge......they serve breakfast from 7-11 each day.....what a view!

I definitely agree! Having a nice breakfast at the hotel before I go out touring for the day is also an important aspect of travel for me. Having a nice sit-down meal in a restaurant for dinner is also important. Until some of the usual amenities are restored, I'll probably not be booking any trips.
