Luxembourg and Lietchenstein accommodations

Does anyone have a recommendation on a budget option for Luxembourg or Lietchenstein? Either a double room in a hostel or a budget hotel. Our goal is under 50 euro a night if possible.
Also recommendations on what to do there/hikes would be great.

I think Liechtenstein is going to be a real challenge at that price point - we were only there on a day trip this past summer and judging by the prices for meals, ice cream, etc. and based on prices in adjacent Switzerland, I would be doubtful of getting a decent place within that budget. Have you looked at Booking.com or tried one of the BnB sites to see what you can find?

Since we no longer look for backpacker or budget accommodations, I can't provide any recommendations. One data point, in Luxembourg this past summer, we stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson for around $100 and really liked it. I know it is above your budget but gives you something to compare against.

Can't really make recommendations on other items since you haven't specified what your interest are and how long you are planning on spending in each of these places. Also, have you done any research to this point to narrow down what you may want to do/see?

We stayed in a Mercure hotel (Accor brand) outside Luxembourg city. It was in a rural area and quite nice! For a cheaper hotel, you can check Ibis which is another Accord hotel.

I checked our Logis (a smalerl brand than Accor) book and there are ten hotels in Luxembourg. There was nothing in Liechtenstein. (Check your spelling)

I'm sorry that I couldn't give you any more hotel information nor anything about hikes, etc.

Have fun!

Stayed at a youth hostel in Luxembourg on my first trip to Europe many years ago (sigh....).
Have you tried the HI website (www.hihostels.com)? That would seem to be a reasonable place to find the info you're looking for...

Luxembourg City...
"The hostel is situated in the beautiful old part of town, which is listed as world heritage of UNESCO and only a few minutes from the centre. From 24 Euro." Not bad.

Lietchenstein....bupkiss. Sorry. Probably not a lot of sub-50 euro places there. Google is your friend...

Have you checked Airbnb? We visited Luxembourg in October, the city is very walkable and the public transportation is easy and efficient so if you stay a little out should be fine on getting around. Another RS site person recommended staying in Ettelbruck instead of Luxembourg. I know it's hard to find a lot of info on Lux. Have a great trip, it's an amazing city, we had a great time!!!
