Hi - We are taking an AmaWaterways river cruise from Amsterdam to Luxembourg starting 3/24. We end 3/31. We would like to stay in Luxembourg City one night and then take the train to Beaune. Where should we stay in Luxembourg and how do we do the train.

Rail service isn't that great between Luxembourg and Beaune. You can leave at 7:15 am and get there by noon, or leave at 2:30 pm and get there by 7:50 pm. These all require connections at Metz and Dijon. All other ways take 6+ hours and require more connections and are less direct. Another option would be take a morning train to Metz, tour the town, and take the 4:01 pm train to Beaune arriving 7:50 pm, connecting in Dijon.
