I know there must be hundreds - looking for recomemdations on non tourist cafes or lunch spots serving Greek food in Athens. Prefer a small restaurant. Joan.
You might post this in To the East for more responses. I visited Greece many, many years ago, but I know that when I go away from the Plaka the tourists really decreased. I stayed in a Pension that was back behind the American Embassy. There was a near by Hilton, but it was used more by business travelers and we found wonderful cafes. I have to say too, though, that I didn't mind the cafe's with the tourist. Cafe sitting is a fine art and skill that you should perfect during your vacation. Pam
