We are taking our family to Paris. We have reservations for lunch @ the Eiffel Tower & were wondering what is the dress code.
Which place?
We have reservations for 10 at the Jules Vernes.
Halfway between no tie and no t-shirt.
thank you
When we had lunch there several years ago it was a very upscale restaurant. While ties aren't expected, a gentleman would not look out of place if he wore one....and you might get a better table!
Isabel, you can definitely get away with business casual there for lunch. My dad and his friends go and don't wear ties, even at dinner, but they do wear a sports coat and dress slacks and button up shirt. My dad didn't have a sportsjacket so just wore his windbreaker ( its not sporty or hiking looking, its more like a bomber style jacket)
My dads friends are Parisian , as my dad was born there but immigrated to Canada.. If you CHOOSE to you can get dressy, but as long as a person looks "nice" then that's fine ,, you will see all sorts( except no shorts or t shirts, ) especially for lunch. If you are a lady with spike heels beware, the platforms and stairs etc can catch them , wear platform or wedge heels or pop some flats into your purse to explore Tower after lunch. I personally would not wear heels for lunch, and in general spiked heels suck in Europe ( too much crappy pavement etc)
