They all seem to have happened serially so I wonder if someone's gone thru and deleted all their posts? Or is someone is busy in IT on this holiday weekend?

Just noticed that too. Should be something they fix in the forum software if they ever get to it -- deleting a post shouldn't bump the thread up .
Actually deleting a post does bump the thread up. I just deleted an old post of mine and it did bump it up. So that may be what's happening.
There was a new poster this morning posting on old threads. Going back to threads whose last post was the end of February or March, and posting a new answer.
I'm glad others noticed!
Rebecca, I didn't key in on someone doing some necroposting this AM! Glad you mentioned that.
Whenever some spammer adds spam posts to a bunch of threads, all of the deleted spam posts bump up those threads.
Necroposting, what an exciting new concept! What would we do without the internet? ;-)
