Since this recent article from The NY Times will likely be of interest to those of us who have visited Andalusia and those who contemplate a sojourn there , I am posting this here , instead of on the Spain thread . Wonderful photos included with a great historical perspective - https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/03/t-magazine/spain-islamic-history.html?unlocked_article_code=OFBUFN6Tw812prJ85lTh7AiDFngDel5OxdCzzbyLUcSZu4YuipxgvYkBj3CbzjmFaEyF1aTjanY_fbO-GO0gncKoRwyanR2DGa-O6-MgaqLwId07fZONplIFFzF705fsGSjpvH1ek6ovO-tN2xidWniZyEMDjoIdAVVoiHkTI_G8FVBzG_DiomSaRRO1keLKNj-AdJHke4Cp2nmH0rK6nyzvCjz1Xlt_Og7GebE8RVurFjS2d4CfBZ7oQ32rD2NC0VXkQQiiC1saF5EqmrYNmxQ7qDP3104moZIQMCogw6EQiXrFOQl-xWijEWXAKtjW6iXjdBv3r7enpJ97MEEup7Zu&smid=share-url
Thank you for the article. My husband and I are returning to Andalusia for the second time in just a month. The architecture is seductive. I had to have more. We took many tours and the tour guides all began with how Isabella had "saved" Spain from the Moors and "thankfully" instated Christianity. Never any mention of how that was achieved. Hmmm.
