Need tips and suggestions to store maps and pages on the iTouch for use in a dead zone. Thanks in advance.

I can recommend OffMaps, an application that allows you to store maps for use while off line. It was free when I first got it, not sure if it still is or not. You download the map of the area you are interested in while connected to the internet, they are then available off line. I did this at home before I left and it worked great. I also downloaded a map of my own city so I always have one at hand.

You can also use the screenshot function. If you hold the home/menu button and press the power button once, the iTouch will capture a picture of whatever is on the screen and save it for you.
When I'm online, I take pictures of whatever maps I think I'll need, then I can bring them up later when offline.
To store webpages, emails, itineraries, etc, I use the Evernote app.
