Hello everyone!
I'm living in Poland now and going to travel for two weeks in Europe (Germany, Spain, Portugal etc). But I need to work a bit while traveling so I need an instant internet at my device, don't want to look for a wi-fi somewhere but just to use it when I need. Also I'm traveling alone so I'd like to use google maps not to be lost =)
Can you advise me any mobile operator, not very expensive and quite easy to use?
alice,
I assume you want to access internet via cellular 3G/4G data on a mobile phone while you're travelling?
It would help to have some idea what type of mobile phone plan you have in Poland. If you have a mobile plan with data at home, you'll probably find that it is quite inexpensive to roam in other countries, since the E.U. has capped roaming rates. It would be easier and simpler to use roaming with your home network, rather than changing SIM cards and numbers in every country you visit.
One mobile phone firm that seems to be very popular is Lebara. Check their website to see if this might work for you.
alice,
when i was in those areas many people said they liked T Mobile due to the coverage and speed available.
however your mileage may vary
happy trails
if you are traveling with a tablet or laptop, it is possible to rent a mobile or personal Wi-Fi hotspot. This is one brand; I know nothing else about it and you may find something different near you.
Thanks guys! I decided to buy a MTXConnect data-only sim card. Just ordered it via website (http://www.mtxc.eu/)
Seems really easy to use and I liked fixed prices, €9.99 per day with no limits or €0.10 per Mb.
Will share my experience when I get it :)
And it's just two weeks left before my trip! Just bought a tickets to Lisbon, so excited.
alice,
It's great to hear that you've found a solution. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!
Thanks a lot Ken! Looking forward for my holidays =)
