Looking for a recommendation for overnight in Paris

I have a question about our return trip from Europe. We will be taking Air France from Turkey to Houston, Texas.
Our itinerary has us getting into Paris at 9:30 PM. Our flight back to Houston leaves at 10:20 AM the next morning.

Will we need to go through customs in Paris?
Will our luggage that we checked go straight on to Houston, or will we have to wait and pick it up that night and bring it back and re-check it the next morning?
What time should we plan to be at the airport the next morning?
How long a wait is it for taxis at the Paris airport?

I guess I'm trying to figure out what time we might expect to get to a hotel near the airport, how long will it take to check in, and when will we have to leave in the morning -- so how much sleep will we really get there? Is it worth the hassle? Or should we just skip the hotel and stay overnight at the airport? Is that even an option?

Any suggestions based on your experience?

Ask your airline if your luggage will be checked through.

It would be wise to be at the airport three hours before your departure time.

The Accor hotel chain has several hotels near CDG. Go to www.accorhotels.com and enter Roissy as your destination to see a complete two-page list from most expensive to cheapest. The following hotels are at the lower end of the price range and are close to the CDGVAL driverless shuttle train that runs 24/7:
Ibis Paris Charles de Gaulle Aéroport/Terminal, Etap Hotel Roissy CDG Paris Nord 2, Formule 1 Roissy Aéroport CDG PN 2. No need for a taxi.
