We are expats living in Germany and have grown daughters joining us just after Christmas. Some have said they want warm others say they want something new. We travel with our small dogs and have a car. Any suggestions?
What have they been to before? What is new to them?
a budget isn't mentioned. Are you only willing to travel by car? How about Spain ?
My first though was "Sicily", though it would be quite a drive. Puglia would be perhaps a bit easier, but I don't know how dead some of those cute little towns would be. Then there's Crete, but I think the only sane approach would be by air.
They have been to northern Italy and as far south as Rome, (good bit of) France, Barcelona, Austria, and Holland. We love driving because of the flexibility it affords. Yes driving to Sicily might be a bit farther than our previous drive to Rome (13hrs). The budget is a consideration but if ai get the place nailed down Im willing to find a way to make it work financially. I would like to go to Crete but have been told to be careful that everything may be shut down for the winter at that time. We are considering embarrassing the cold and heading to Scotland or Ireland. Ideas there?
Why don't you contrast a week in Stockholm with a week in Malta.
Morroco, blow all your minds with something so different.
