I am trying to research more information on the long distance E trails of Europe. So the E1 up to the E12. I can't seem to find much information on these, i am looking in particular at the E6. If anyone has done any of these or even part of these tracks any help on where i can get more info would be greatly appreciated. I am in Australia so i am having trouble even being able to find detailed maps to try and map out my own route. So any advice or if anyone knows where i can purchase a good map (in particular the lapland region of Finland) just to get me started that would be great! Cheers :)
I don't know if you have the UK in your plans, but Walkhighlands is a very useful site. And the Ordnance Maps are very helpful they have a variety of scales.

As Pam notes, the UK Ordinance Survey typographical mapos are great and offered in waterproof material. The UK is crossed by long distance routes so mapping your own is "reinventing the wheel".
If you're interested in the Norwegian section of " Lapland" the DNT has a lot of information:

Hello d.marks. In Norway, a good trail for hiking starts at Aurland, at the Aurland Fjord (near Flam). From Aurland, hike toward the east. In Austria, good places for hiking are in the Salzkamergut (near big lakes, surrounded by Alps mountains).
Hello there,
Have a look at this site - http://hiking.waymarkedtrails.org/da/?zoom=8&lat=53.09679&lon=10.55694&hill=0#
It’s a Danish site but with a bit of manipulation you’ll soon be able to find your way around it.
Use the zoom slide at the left of page and by holding down your mouse button you can move the map around, when you have an area you want to explore more fully, click on the ‘Rute' button at the bottom right. It brings up a list of links to the walks displayed, click on any of those to drill down further. Click on the 'Zoom Ind' button at the top left of this box to zoom further into the selected walk.
