London/Paris - Hot & Humid?

The weather report says London & Paris have a high of 70 - low of 50 and is 88% humid. Where I live in Southern California - 70 is chilly and I put on a sweater. What is 70 and humid like?

I really can't speak for London and Paris, but where I live in the south, I experience high humidity all summer long, and for me, it means warmer temps, and a very bad hair day :( I would guess the same for London and Paris; however, it could also be a precursor to a rain shower. Have a great trip, and hope it doesn't rain!!

That is funny. In Calgary a high of 70's is t-shirts, shorts and sandals.

However, being originally from Florida I know when you add humidity in there, 70 can be pretty chilly. I would probably bring a sweater, especially for the evenings.

I identify with that Jon! I grew up in Arizona where 70 meant sweatshirts but after living in the Seattle area for ten years 70 is bathingsuit weather!

Tracy, I would assume that the weather will feel pretty similar to what you're used to. It could potentially be a bit muggy--but you might not notice that if you don't start suffering from the "heat" of 75 degrees =)

Tracy, I live in Orange County, so hopefully I can help you. The humidity is similar to No. Cal's. London will be much cooler at night, where Paris will be comperable to our weather.

In the daytime the weather will be nice, but cools down after 9 pm. Bring a light jacket and you'll be fine.

I was surprised when I went to London/Paris in July of 2005 that London was pretty humid and that Paris was more like Southern California "June Gloom" . Either way bring a light jacket if 70 is chilly to you. When you are walking around alot you'll appreciate that it's not too hot, just plan for "frizzy hair" if that what happens to you in the humidity.
